Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Consultant with a focus on IT Services Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of guiding organizations through strategic growth initiatives, with a particular emphasis on IT services. This role involves working cross-functionally to optimize sales, marketing, finance, and operations to maximize enterprise value during pivotal phases of growth and transformation.
The Executive Consultant will leverage their deep industry expertise to provide strategic guidance and operational insight, aiming to improve the overall valuation of the enterprise during critical inflection points such as mergers, acquisitions, and integrations. This role requires a combination of business and technical acumen, strategic leadership, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Job responsibilities
- Mergers & Acquisitions Strategy: Lead due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration planning for IT services companies involved in M&A activities. Advise clients on strategic opportunities, risks, and integration strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Sales Optimization: Collaborate with sales teams to design and implement strategies for revenue growth, pipeline development, and market expansion, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
- Marketing Strategy: Work closely with marketing leaders to enhance go-to-market strategies, improve brand positioning, and optimize lead generation and conversion efforts.
- Financial Analysis & Support: Provide in-depth financial analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and ROI assessments. Support clients in financial modeling to evaluate M&A opportunities and their impact on enterprise value.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify areas for operational improvement, process optimization, and cost reduction to drive margin expansion and scalability. Implement best practices across business units to support sustainable growth.
- Leadership & Change Management: Act as a change agent to guide clients through organizational shifts, aligning leadership teams and stakeholders on strategic priorities and goals during transition periods.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor for executives and board members. Communicate complex concepts clearly and drive strategic discussions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across departments and with external partners to integrate processes, align strategies, and ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in IT Services, M&A advisory, consulting, or executive leadership roles.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and executing M&A transactions, including due diligence and post-merger integration in the IT sector.
- Deep understanding of sales optimization, marketing strategies, financial modeling, and operational efficiency in the context of technology-driven businesses.
- Technical & Business Acumen:
- Strong understanding of IT services, cloud infrastructure, enterprise software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft), and managed services.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional teams, with the ability to influence and guide senior executives, stakeholders, and team members.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Expertise in analyzing complex financial data, market trends, and operational metrics to drive strategic decision-making.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations to executive audiences.
